Victoria Independent School District has released a second collaborative video with Victoria College and Texas A&M University-Victoria, reinforcing their shared commitment to education, opportunity, and community through the message, Excellence Lives Here.
Conceptualized, filmed, and produced by the Victoria ISD Communications Department, the video builds on the success of the institutionโs first collaborative welcome video and emphasizes the strength of local education from kindergarten through higher education. The video features Victoria ISD Superintendent Sheila Collazo, Victoria College President Dr. Jennifer Kent, and A&M UniversityโVictoria President Dr. Christian Hardigree, each highlighting the role that strong schools play in building a strong community and a strong future.
The videoโs central theme focuses on keeping talent, opportunity, and excellence in Victoria by showcasing how local educational pathways prepare students to learn, grow, and succeed close to home.
โThis project reflects why collaboration matters,โ said Ashley Alvarez, Executive Director of Communications for Victoria ISD. โWhen educational institutions work together, we send a clear message to students, families, and the greater community that opportunity does not require leaving Victoria. These partnerships strengthen trust, align our messaging, and show the community that we are collectively invested in student success from start to finish.โ
The release of Excellence Lives Here follows global recognition for the district's first collaborative video, which earned the Victoria ISD Communications Department a Gold MarCom Award in the Web-Based Video Marketing category. The award highlighted the departmentโs in-house creative work and the historic partnership among Victoria ISD, Victoria College, and A&M UniversityโVictoria.
โThis second video continues the story we began telling with our first collaboration,โ said Ashley Alvarez, Executive Director of Communications for Victoria ISD. โIt reinforces that education in Victoria is connected, intentional, and focused on excellence at every level.โ
The video features scenes from school campuses, higher education institutions, and community landmarks, highlighting the seamless pathway available to Victoria students from K through college and into the workforce.
