Victoria ISD middle schools will host Parents Night for incoming sixth grade students at each middle school campus in January to help current fifth grade students and their families prepare for course selection and the transition to middle school.
These parent nights are designed to provide families with essential information about academic expectations, campus programs, and student support services. Attending a parent night allows families to feel confident and informed as students move into sixth grade and the middle school environment.

These events are intended for parents and guardians of current fifth grade students who will be entering sixth grade in the 2026–27 school year. Parents and guardians of private school, homeschool, and out-of-district students who are considering enrolling in VISD are also encouraged to attend.
The transition from elementary to middle school is a significant milestone. Parent Nights provide families with the opportunity to learn about campus expectations, course selection, scheduling, extracurricular opportunities, and the supports in place to help students succeed both academically and socially.
Families will hear from campus administrators and staff about academic programs, course offerings, student schedules, campus procedures, and available student services. Information will also be shared about extracurricular activities, communication tools, and ways families can stay involved throughout the school year.
Victoria ISD encourages all families of incoming sixth-grade students to attend their zoned campus event to ensure a smooth and successful transition into middle school.
