I have been an educator for almost a decade. I graduated from UHV in 2013 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I love being a Howell Wildcat and I love teaching history.

In 8th Grade, students study the history of the United States from the early colonial period through Reconstruction. The content in 8th Grade builds upon that from 5th Grade but provides more depth and breadth. Historical content focuses on the political, economic, religious, and social events and issues related to the colonial and revolutionary eras, the creation and ratification of the U.S. Constitution, challenges of the early republic, the Age of Jackson, westward expansion, industrial age, reform movements, sectionalism, Civil War, and Reconstruction.
